In the early days of porno, a lot of the stuff released had a European theme. This was partly to circumvent obscenity laws in New York where straight hardcore was strictly forbidden. They did this by making the videos with an instructional or “medical” angle to them and a lot of the titles were European sounding. Bob vosse of sweetish erotica was clearly going for this association when he was producing his product. They also had subtle branding in the loops whereby the female actors always donned silk scarfs and garter belts.

Swedish Erotica was the title of a US series of loops from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Nothing to do with Sweden the country. They were almost all shot in California.
